MANITOU SPRINGS' 4TH ANNUAL ZOMBIE CRAWL
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9th, 2010: 2 pm - Makeup, 3 pm - Crawl

Come dressed as a zombie or the undead, splattered in blood, or get splattered at 2 pm, and drag your feet moaning with hunger for fresh brains, up and down Manitou Avenue. Meet 2 pm for costume assistance (or to help make people up), bring fake blood if you can, guts, cauliflower to dye as brains, and other costume props. Be there prompt at 3 pm for the Crawl down Manitou Avenue. Social afterwards at the Ancient Mariner * 962 Manitou Ave, Manitou Springs, CO 80829 from about 3:45 until 7 pm with DJ Raid spinning darksome and zombie tunes. All Ages.

Social Space and after party space given by The Ancient Mariner (962 Manitou Ave * Manitou Springs, CO 80829-1759 * (719) 685-5503 * www.ancientmarinertavern.com )

Meet at 1:30 in Soda Spring Park if you are a makeup artist and want to help with people's costumes, blood, etc. We need blood and makeup donations, bring whatever you can.

Meet at 2:00 pm in Soda SPrings Park if you are a participant and need help with your costume, adding blood, etc. Costume and blood help is available based on volunteers, supplies, etc. Be prepared to have to work on yourself if necessary.

Meet promptly at 3:00 pm for the Crawl. Be in costume and bloodied up like a zombie for a crawl down Manitou Ave. Starting at Soda Springs Park by the Mate Factory. We'll crawl down Manitou Ave circle around by Black Cat books, and come back and end at the Ancient Mariner.

ca. 3:45-7:00 pm - Zombie Social and dance party with dj'ing by DJ Raid at the Ancient Mariner.

Rules of Conduct: This is a spontaneous art project / flash mob. There is no party responsible for your individual actions except your own self. You are dressing up as a zombie to participate in a fun group art project. You are your own individual and legally responsible for your own actions.

* You must abide by all legal laws, follow street rules, stop and look both ways when crossing traffic, follow lights, signs, etc. and are not allowed to walk in the street or jaywalk. (or you could be ticketed, fined, or arrested) Use common sense. Stay on the sidewalk, use the crosswalk. Blocking traffic is a crime and anyone doing so could be arrested.

* If approached by a police officer, you are to abide by their rules, just as you would when on the street in normal street wear. Listen and abide.

* Do not touch the public. Only those with duc-taped "X" on their fronts and/or backs consent to being touched or attacked. Do not scare individuals, if anyone is freaking out, turn and shamble in the opposite direction. Avoid confrontation.

* No drugs or alcohol. The law doesn't permit it on public streets. You will be fined. Save the drinking until after the event, at the Zombie party at the Mariner where you can drink if you are 21+. Bring cash and ID.

* No alcohol outside the bar if you partake before or after the event.

* No littering, destruction of property, or any other illegal activity. Show respect. Do not go where not welcome, do not enter a business unless invited. Do not touch or put blood on anything that does not belong to you. Media is watching.
