 The Tree Leaves' Oracle folk journal/e-zine consists of art, articles, poems, stories, movie and book reviews that the Tree Leaves' Folk Fellowship members and readers contribute.

Please send your poetry, literature, stories, reviews, and/or submitted text to Tree Leaves either on a CD in either Microsoft Word or ASCII TEXT or via e-mail to [email protected]. You may also E-mail us any of your submissions to [email protected]. We will soon be offering a form on this page in which you can submit a poem, story, or review on the fly. All articles and submissions must be your own work, of the theme to the current journal, and must contain your publishing name. This includes songs, poetry, and artwork. Artwork should be submitted in .tif, .bmp, or .psd format. We will also accept .gif, and .jpg. We also need to know if it is a reprint work, where it was first published, and if you have permission to have the work reprinted. If you have your work copyrighted, and want us to publish it in our literature, you will need to include a permission or release form and any stipulations regarding its use. All submitted works must be allowed to be converted and/or made available on the web. Failure to attach stipulations/copyright will make any copyright or stipulations void and null. By submitting to us either by mail, e-mail, or in person is in agreement with the following:

    I fully understand that by submitting my work to the Tree Leaves' Folk Fellowship, I hereby bear full publication rights and reprint permissions to Tree Leaves' to replicate this work as they deem fit in their journals, web sites, cds, and multimedia applications. I understand wherever this work appears, it will either have a link to my credit and/or textual credit as appropriately due. I understand I still own my work, but have given Tree Leaves' unlimited license (unless stated otherwise in my attached stipulation) to use my work for their publishing needs - always and only in affiliation with "Tree Leaves". All published works created by Tree Leaves' will be registered with the copyright office as a compiled or multimedia work, and quite possibly with the Library of Congress.

The work given to Tree Leaves' will become Fellowship property and archived. So if its an original piece, such as a painting or sketch, make a professional reproduction of it or state that you need it back, including appropriate postage.

  • Poetry: Submit what you deem relates to the current journal. If it does not fit in this issue, it will go in the next issue where it fits. No poems accepted larger than 2 pages in length.
  • Reviews: Please keep reviews on books, films, or software to no more than 2 pages in length. 2 paragraphs to 1 page is ideal.
  • Stories: Please keep stories short, no more than 5-7 pages.
  • Articles: Please keep articles a minimum of 2 pages to a maximum of 10 pages in length.
  • Artwork: Color and Black and White accepted. Digital also accepted.
  • Cover Art: Should be full page 8 1/2 x 11" dimensions.
  • Songs: Please attach sheet music if possible.
  • Events: Please edit to no more than a paragraph in length. Must be folk related with invitation open to the world to attend. Please state contact information, price, and other details.
  • Sound or Video: Must be your own work. Sound accepted in .mid, .wav, .mp3; Video in Quicktime, .avi, .mov, .mpeg. Files must not be larger than 1 MB in file size. Otherwise, you will need to store the file on your own site and provide us a link.


CURRENT ISSUE SPECIFICATIONS:

Must be related to Gypsies, TechnoGypsies, Wanderers, Nomads, and Travel. May include Mythology, legends, folk tales, lore, and associated knowledge.

NEEDED: Articles, Artwork, Sound Files, Video, Poetry, Reviews. News Items.

DEADLINE: OCTOBER 31, 2014
